Roadmap

ScriptScreenStudio is an app that has been in development since 2021, with periods of slow progress and periods of rapid development. Over the years, a wide range of features have been added to the app.

Features that weren't originally planned were added, while others were removed, creating inconsistencies in the code, technical debt, and a few… bugs.

Bugs and Delays

That’s the downside of developing on my own, sporadically, when I have the time. You make progress, you forget, you start over. Since I would rather not release an unstable app, naturally… everything takes time.

And everything still needs to be corrected and refined.

On this page, you'll find the roadmap, which lists what still needs to be done—which means this page will be updated regularly—and what is likely to be developed in the future.

What about suggestions?

Feature suggestions are submitted via FeatureBase and are added to the roadmap based on votes. There is no set format for suggesting a feature. You just need to make sure it hasn't already been requested and that it isn't already on the roadmap.

There are still many items left on the list. The items in the table “Completed” are removed after two addition cycles to prevent the column from becoming excessively long.

Fountain Editor

• Notes Manager (built directly into the scenario; can be removed with a single click during export)

Resources and Personnel Module

• Complete module manager for the resources needed to shoot the film
  • Technical Staff Management (last name, first name, position, salary)
  • Artistic Staff Management (last name, first name, role, salary)

  • Film Prop Managers (Suppliers, Names, Rates)

Budget and Financing Plan Module

• Automated budget management based on data from other modules
